Quick card I made for my hubby this year. I found the idea for the heart border in a search on Pinterest (many had a similar heart border) and used assorted patterned papers and cardstocks with a heart punch from my stash. The love stamp is also from my stash and the three rhinestones. I pop dotted the hearts.
No Cricut on this card, but I have been cutting images for my daughter. She wanted Tinker Bell and Boo from Monsters Inc. Many pieces to glue together, but she loves them!
Welcome to my blog! I love my Cricut "baby bug" and will be posting projects I create. Thanks for visiting!

Graduation Card
Another summer with no crafting really... my daughter is keeping me busy. (Being sick for a week didn't help.)
I made a quick graduation card after sizing the graduation cap from Everyday Pop Up Cards with my Gypsy. I couldn't get the "Congratulations" to cut out right (kept tearing at the size I would need) from the same cartridge, so I found a stamp in my stash. I can't remember the name of the set, but it's one of the first ones I bought when I started this hobby.
The background is a Cuttlebug embossing folder, from the Decorative Tile set. I picked the color for the school colors of green and white.
I need to make a few more of these if I can find some time....

Daughter's 2nd Birthday Party Invite
My daughter turned 2 last weekend and we had her party at the zoo! We met a few of her playgroup friends for a fun morning and lunch at the zoo. I think everyone had a great time!
For the invites I used the Cricut Create a Critter 2 cartridge, the Cuttlebug Polka Dots folder, and some American Crafts ribbon from my stash. I can't remember where the stamp came from. I also made a version with the word "party" cut out with my Cricut (CAC 2 also I think.)

Nephew's Birthday
So today was another snow day for me - our 10th this winter! My nephew's second birthday is in a couple of weeks so I took this chance to craft!
I found the "Hoppy Birthday" sentiment last weekend when I was looking for a regular happy birthday and just knew what I had to do with it! The stamp comes from the "Punny-licious" My Pink Stamper set. I cut the frog from the Cricut cartridge Create a Critter 2 (there's also one on Create a Critter, but I liked that this one had the heart). The 2 is from the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge. I looked through my stickers/thickers first but couldn't find a number 2 that I liked (some were too big, some were too small, etc.) The background is Cuttlebug Polka Dots, again that I already had embossed in my stash.

Sister's Birthday
My sister's birthday is 8 days after my husband's, so I also finished a really quick card for her today. I again went to my stash of embossed card fronts, this one also from a Cuttlebug folder (A2 - I can't remember the name and don't have time to search my stash at the moment.) I used a q-tip to apply white ink to make the saying "pop." (I otherwise would have embossed using the Core'dinations paper. I decided to use this since it was already done). Somehow I managed to (with my ATG) glue the card front just a little off on the left side. It bugged me, but I knew ATG is super sticky... so instead I used my Threading Waters punch to add a border.
One more card to make for my nephew's second birthday at the end of March. I was playing around with stamps and found a My Pink Stamper stamp with "hoppy birthday" that I am thinking of using with a frog for the front of the card. We'll see how much later my daughter naps today...

Hubby's Birthday
My husband's birthday is on Monday so I thought I'd finish a quick card this weekend while the little one naps. I found a few ideas on Pinterest, including this one from Vintage Page Designs. I loved the idea of the Washi tape present, especially since I feel like a Washi tape collector and haven't used it much! The ribbon is from American Crafts and the banner is from the Cricut cartridge Create a Critter 2. The stamp is from the Inkadinkado "Collaged Expressions" set. The background I believe is from a Cuttlebug folder (Polka Dots maybe?) I found it already embossed in my stash and just cut it down to use it. (Polka Dots is a 5x7 folder which would explain why I had to cut it down to A2 size before adding it to my card.
Here's the pin of the original that I scraplifted.

Valentine's Day Card
For hubby's Valentine's Day card I scraplifted an idea I saw on Pinterest (designed by Corri Garza www.buglvr.blogspot.com).
I couldn't believe that I didn't have a hot air balloon on any cartridge I owned! (I always check mycutsearch to see what I have.) I've been wanting the Everyday Pop Up Cards cartridge, and when it was on sale for $19.99 I knew I had to have it for this card!
I used a Core'dinations Spotted stack for the pink for the balloon and heart, some patterned paper for the flags, and the Pooh and Friends Cricut cartridge for the clouds. The stamp is from a My Pink Stamper set. I used baker's twine for the ropes and a small heart punch for the heart for the basket. The card itself wasn't rounded, and I couldn't find one I liked on any of my cartridges. I just cut around the top of the card. It's imperfect, but I love how the card turned out!
With the winter we're having here in Cleveland (another 3-6 inches of snow and another snow day for me!) I thought the idea of flying away somewhere warm would be perfect for hubby's card. We should see 50 degrees by Thursday... this winter has been ridiculous!

Dad's Birthday Card
I feel like I'm on a roll.... Today was another "snow" day for me and I was able to finish my dad's birthday card.
I kept it simple. I used some Washi tape for the side, the Cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing folder, Cricut Once Upon a Princess for the phrase, stickles on the present, and a small rhinestone for the i.

Thank you cards
Being on winter break I decided to try to craft. I needed to make thank you cards to send out. I found an awesome idea from Sabriolet Designs that I very loosely scraplifted. I'm pretty happy with the results!
Here is the link to my inspiration. Her cards are way better!
http://sabrioletdesigns.blogspot.com/2013/12/im-so-grateful-and-thankful.html
I did go back after I took the pictures and added more Stickles to the brads in the center of each flower.
I used my Cricut Gypsy for the "thanks" from Sesame Street Seasons and Cindy Loo. The top note is from Elegant Edges. I love using my Gypsy to get everything sized just right before I cut. The papers are mainly from a DCWV holiday stack I got last Christmas, and some paper from an Autumn Leaves stack. The flowers are from my stash.

Grinch Pills
I came across this idea on Pinterest! I found a printable on a blog (Make Time 2 Craft). Here's the link: http://www.maketime2craft.com/2012/12/grinch-pills-and-santa-cookie-toppers.html
I printed the poem, attached to paper from a DCWV 4x6 stack and Provocraft red tape to attach the cardstock to the 3x3 bag. I made these for the other teachers at my grade level this year. They loved it! If I'd had more time I would have been a little more crafty... this is what I came up with quickly to give out the next day.

Finally - crafting again
Today I had a couple of hours while my daughter napped. My mom's birthday is Friday so it was the perfect time to make a quick card!
I used Mini Monograms for the scalloped circle, a David Tutera card front with the floral cutouts, lime green stickles, a Studio G stamp, American Crafts ribbon, Making Memories flower, and brad from my stash.
It felt great to craft again. I'm so busy lately with teaching full-time, spending time with my daughter and hubby, and just normal day to day stresses like housework that I never get any time for myself. I'll have to try to spend at least a little time once a week like I did today. The laundry can wait! :)

Anniversary Card for my Hubby
I always seem to struggle to make cards for my hubby. This year I decided to go with something a little different. I didn't use the Cricut at all on this card, and it came together pretty quickly (which it had to since I was working while my daughter was napping...)
I used a summer DCWV 4x6 stack from several years ago that I had in my stash. I used a few different color stickles to bling out the fireworks, and on the heart on the stamped image. The image is a Heidi Grace rubber stamp from a set I've had forever. I used some Darice baker's twine also.
The fireworks I thought could have two meanings. First, how I feel about my hubby on our 8th anniversary! It also reminds me of all of the fabulous fireworks dispays we've seen together. My favorite? We had a late dinner at Cinderella's Castle at Walt Disney World a few years ago. It was the only time available. I was a little bummed at first, but loved to be able to watch the fireworks outside from our table! The stamp reminds me of the statue in Philadelphia - which is where we were when I thought I was pregnant in 2011. (I took the test a few days later in Virginia.)

Another layout!
While my daughter took an extended nap this weekend, I actually had some time to craft. While I should be working on her first year album (among other things - I'm sooo behind!) I decided to again work on my pregnancy album. I really need to just craft and not feel the obligation to finish this album, and to do the pages in order! I get so little time to myself I stress about really using it in the best way.
I used the Cricut 9 Months Lite cartridge for the title. I wanted the first page of the first trimester layouts to show what my husband and I were thinking in the very beginning of the pregnancy. We were driving back from my sister's wedding (from North Carolina to Ohio) and thinking of names. We ended up using one of the first names on the list! I'm still not thrilled with the results - I couldn't decide on any patterned papers I liked. Everything seemed to seriously clash with my dress! It took me such a long time to finish this page. Hopefully my daughter will nap well this week to give me more time to craft again!

Hoping to Craft Soon, and Some Pregnancy Layouts
Now that school is done for the year, here's hoping I'll have more time to craft! I spent some time yesterday trying to reorganize a little... I have to craft in my dining room which makes it difficult. Also making things difficult - my one year old who is lately fighting naps, giving me even less time!
Here are a few layouts I made but never posted - before my daughter was born. I pulled the album out and am thinking of ideas to try to finish it soon. Sorry for the not-so-great pictures.
I used my Cricut, and the 9 Months cartridge for the pregnancy test. I can't remember what font I used for the title page. I used stickles on the pregnancy test, and tons of primas and brads.

Onesie Card
One of my co-workers is having a baby boy in August. We had a baby shower at work for her on Friday.
I love the onesie cards Jen C. designed using Design Studio over on the Cricut mb. Unfortunately, I loaned my Expression to a friend along with the George cartridge I would need to make the card. I used the onesie on the New Arrival cartridge. I simply welded two together to make a card.
I kept it simple - stamping a Stampendous lion and coloring it with colored pencils. I also used a Studio G stamp for the sentiment and a couple of buttons. The patterned paper is from my stash.

Easter Card
I needed a somewhat fast Easter card to send to my father-in-law and stepmother-in-law. I wanted to include a picture of their granddaughter. Here's what I came up with!
The patterned paper is actually from the DCWV baby girl 4x6 stack. I used repositionable tabs for the back of the picture so they can remove and save it.

My nephew's 1st birthday card
The theme for his birthday party is dogs, so I thought this was appropriate. I used mycutsearch.com to find the perfect dog. I used the one on Create a Critter 2. I used the birthday hat that actually went with the monkey. Googly eyes and stickles finished off the birthday dog.
I just realized that I should have put a 1 somewhere on the card... I may go back and try to find a way to add it, or I may just leave as is. What do you think?

Happy Birthday to my Hubby!

I created a simple card for my husband's 32nd birthday today! He spent the day away from home unfortunately. He's staying busy! Since he's coaching and managing some organizations I went with a coaching theme. I thought about cutting out a softball from one of my Cricut cartridges but decided against it.
The paper is "Black Magic" by Co'rdinations. I used a Darice embossing folder and sanded to make the blue show through. I added yellow ribbon and used a Studio G stamp for the message. (His team colors are blue and gold).

Valentine's Day Card!
I had a chance today to create something, for the first time in FOREVER! My little one (who's 10 months old now - hard to believe!) was napping, so I started hubby's Valentine's Day card. I was able to finish while she played.
No Cricut on this one. (I lent my E and almost all of my cartridges to a friend...) I used a Sizzix (Valentine Set #2) embossing folder, a Studio G stamp, some ribbon from my stash, and some pink Stickles. I kept it simple. It was so much fun to make! I'm hoping to be able to craft more now that my daughter is a little older and more independent.
