Happy Holidays!

It's been such a long time since I've posted! Life has been crazy!

My daughter, Lilly Elizabeth, was born on April 14!  My hubby and I are enjoying her more and more each day as she develops her own personality!

I haven't had time to craft, needless to say, with a little one at home.  I started back at work at the end of August, and have no time at all.  Add Lilly not sleeping more than 2 hours at a stretch at night and you get one tired Momma!

Here's a picture from our Christmas photo shoot last night.  My sister-in-law is an amazing photographer!  Hard to believe she's only in high school!  She's editing the pictures this weekend, but I couldn't wait to post one!  This is my favorite picture!  Hubby's hand is in the way (she kept putting the lights in her mouth) but her face is just too adorable!

Sister's Baby Boy Card

My sister WAS due on April 6 - but had her baby boy on March 27th!  Mom and baby are home and doing well!  I'll be able to visit them this summer - my daughter is due in a few weeks!  It will be very exciting for the cousins to be together!

I wanted to make a onesie card for her.  I used a cutfile from Jen C. using Design Studio and the George cartridge.  Jen's blog is Brain Things Already.

I used my Cuttlebug and the Seeing Spots embossing folder with Core'dinations Whitewash cardstock.  I love how it looks after you emboss and sand it!  I used Elegant Edges (can you tell it's one of my favorites?) for the scalloped shape.  The stamp is from a Recollections baby set.  I popped it up with foam adhesive.  The "snaps" on the onesie are some of those flat "stones" that were all the rage a while back.  I found mine at Michael's - I think with the floral supplies.

Birthday Cards!

I made a couple of simple cards for both my husband and sister earlier this month.

I used the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge for the scalloped shape.  The patterned paper is from the DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Boy mat stack.  I used a dollar stamp from Michael's for the bird, and My Pink Stamper's Punnylicious set for the sentiment.  The ribbon is from my stash.

My husband's card was very quick!  I scrapbook at our kitchen table, and had to find a few minutes when he wasn't around!  I used two Cricut cartridges - Elegant Edges for the shape, and Martha Stewart Birthday Cake Art for the Happy Birthday.  The patterned paper was from my stash.  I used foam adhesive to pop up the shape.

Hubby's Valentine's Day Card!

It was great to actually play with some of my scrapbooking supplies recently to make my hubby's Valentine's Day card!  With all of our getting ready for baby, I haven't had time to craft in forever.

I used the scalloped heart and Cupid from the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge (gotta love mycutsearch.com for finding the perfect images for me on cartridges I already have).  The background is Core'dinations paper - embossed with the Cuttlebug conversation hearts 5x7 folder (part of the Love is in the Air set) and then sanded.  The hearts border punch is from Recollections.  The stamp is from My Pink Stamper's Happiest Moments set.  I was going to add bling, but decided not to since it was a "manly" Valentine's day card!  Ok, so it's not very manly, but he liked it!  (Especially since I signed it from the baby too!)  :)

Getting Ready for Baby!

I'm 6 months pregnant!  Hubby and I are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our daughter!  We've been getting the nursery ready to be painted and carpeted, and buying decorations (in addition to necessities!)

The baby is moving constantly - sometimes it feels like she's doing somersaults!

Here are a few things I've found recently - can you tell Winnie the Pooh is our nursery theme?

Birthday Card for My Dad

I made this card for my dad's birthday next week.

Here's the story of the jeans (which are meant to look very well worn!)  My dad is very handy and has been building an addition to a shed.  He wears these jeans when he works (there are at least double the patches though!)  He wore them out once when we were visiting over Christmas and my mom was mortified!  I think it's hilarious!

I used the Cricut cartridges Elegant Edges for the scalloped edged rectangle and Everyday Paper Dolls for the "holey" jeans.  The stamp comes from a clear set -Heidi Grace Birthday Cake Surprise.  I used Core'dinations Cardstock for the jeans, which I distressed to make them look old and worn. I used foam adhesive to pop up the jeans.  On the inside I'll write something about how it's his day and he can wear his jeans all day if he wants to!

Recent Cards

Here are a couple of cards I've made somewhat recently....

The first is a birthday card for my mom (from November.)  I used the Cricut cartridge Pooh and Friends for the pumpkins (great extras on this cartridge!), the Cuttlebug Pumpkin Harvest A2 embossing folder sanded after embossing (love the Co'redinations cardstock!) , Fiskar's Scalloped Sentiments punch, and a Studio G stamp.

The second card is the Christmas card I sent to family members this year.  I waited until literally the last minute to even make these!  I used the Cricut Elegant Edges cartridge, the Cuttlebug Textile A2 folder, the Stampendous Cling Sacred Silhoutte stamp and some gold glittered cardstock (that cut beautifully with my new Expression!)  It was a very easy design to replicate!  Normally I drive myself crazy trying to create a different card for everyone!

Expecting!

I haven't posted in forever!  My husband and I are expecting a baby girl in April!  When I told my family back in October, I found out that my younger sister is also due in April, just a few weeks before me!  My parents are so excited to be first time grandparents, not once but twice!  I haven't been crafting as much recently - just trying to get ready for the baby!

Here's my sister and I visiting at my parents' house after Christmas!
